A Party in the Rainforest!

One of our core creatives, Jude WInwood, is a percussionist and a lover of interactive children’s theatre. She had the idea to combine the two and thus our first musical play, The Great Big Jungle Boogie’ was born. (This has since been renamed as ‘A Party in the Rainforest’.)

In 2019, our team toured with the play around a selection of special education schools in Nottinghamshire and also around five festivals during the summer (Shambala/WOMAD/Gloworm/Nottingham Riverside/Boardmasters).

With an emphasis on inclusion and enhancing children’s and family’s wellbeing, the play received excellent feedback from schools and festival organisers and audiences.

This project was supported by The National Lottery Community Fund and Arts Council England. One Family Finance supported the lead up project to the development of the theatrical production.
